Deb Haaland has secured the Democratic gubernatorial nomination in New Mexico, moving closer to becoming the first Native American female governor in history.After defeating Sam Bregman with 72 percent of the vote, Haaland will face Republican frontrunner Gregg Hull in the upcoming November general election.The gubernatorial contest remains heavily favored for Democrats as other state incumbents also prepare for their respective general election challenges.
