Autumn Durald Arkapaw became the first woman to win the Oscar for Best Cinematography for her work on the film Sinners directed by Ryan Coogler.The achievement follows a record-breaking sixteen nominations for the movie which was the first feature shot by a woman using large-format IMAX technology.Arkapaw joins a select group of only four women ever nominated in the category after overcoming technical hurdles to capture the 1930s Mississippi setting.
