Alysa Liu Wins Historic Olympic Figure Skating Gold in Milan

Alysa Liu became the first American woman in 24 years to win individual Olympic figure skating gold following her victory at the 2026 Winter Games in Milan.The 20-year-old skater secured the title with a total of 226.79 points after performing her routine to "MacArthur Park Suite" by Donna Summer.Alysa Liu led an international podium featuring Kaori Sakamoto and Ami Nakai after she returned to the sport from a two-year retirement in 2024.The competition also saw Lucas Pinheiro Braathen win the first-ever Winter Olympic gold for Brazil while American teammate Amber Glenn finished in fifth place.
