Folk legend Country Joe McDonald has died at 84 following complications from Parkinson’s disease in Berkeley, USA.He gained international fame at the 1969 Woodstock festival for his antiwar anthem and the provocative Fish Cheer chant.The US Navy veteran founded Country Joe and the Fish and released nearly 40 albums including the 1967 psychedelic classic.McDonald continued performing until age 75 while advocating for environmental causes and establishing local memorials for veterans.
