A severe outbreak of avian influenza has significantly impacted poultry farming in Brandenburg, Germany, with over 170,200 farm animals including ducks, geese, turkeys, and broiler chickens culled this fall as of mid-November.The outbreak first became prominent after the infection was confirmed in a farm in Märkisch-Oderland where 15,000 ducks had to be humanely destroyed, leading to quarantine measures and adjustments of regional protection zones.
