António José Seguro to Face André Ventura in Portugal Election Runoff

António José Seguro and André Ventura will compete in a runoff election on February 8 following the first round of the Portuguese presidential vote.Seguro secured approximately 30.6 percent of the ballots while the far-right leader Ventura reached the second round with nearly 25 percent support.This election marks the first time in 40 years that a second round is necessary in Portugal as voter turnout reached its highest level in two decades.
