Boeing has been ordered to pay $28.45 million to Soumya Bhattacharya, the widower of victim Shikha Garg, following the Ethiopian Airlines 737 MAX 8 crash in March 2019, which killed all 157 people on board.The ruling, announced by a federal court jury, marks the first civil lawsuit related to the two crashes in 2018 and 2019 that resulted in 346 deaths.The family was awarded $10 million for Garg's pain and suffering and an additional $3.45 million as part of an out-of-court agreement, totaling $35.8 million in compensation.
