Spain Seeks EU Sanction Relief for Delcy Rodríguez After Amnesty Law

José Manuel Albares requested that the EU lift sanctions on Delcy Rodríguez following the approval of a landmark amnesty law in Venezuela.Vladimir Padrino and the military supported the legislation which pardons political offenses committed between 2002 and 2025.The measure has led to the release of 448 individuals including Juan Pablo Guanipa after nine months of detention for challenging election results.These developments follow the capture of Nicolás Maduro and the start of an energy partnership with Chris Wright while Donald Trump remains detained.
