Milan’s Piazza Affari opened cautiously with the FTSE MIB nearly flat, slipping 0.03% to 45,657 at 10:36 CET as the Italian 10-year yield fell to 3.49% and the BTP/Bund spread narrowed to 63.6 basis points, the tightest since 2008.Trading showed mixed blue-chip moves—Amplifon led gains (+2.7%), Stellantis +1.3% and Saipem +0.3% while Ferrari lagged -1.1% and utilities Italgas, Poste Italiane and Generali fell; banks saw limited swings with Intesa -0.3% and UniCredit -0.4%.Markets were buoyed by a recovery in Asia after Nyheter24 reported regional bourses "turned slightly higher," with Tokyo and the Nikkei up and Shanghai and Shenzhen advancing, even as Brent near $62.6 a barrel and geopolitical risks kept traders cautious; Nyheter24 lists Henrik Eriksson as responsible publisher.
