Suspect in 2021 DNC and RNC Pipe Bombing Case Must Remain Jailed Until Trial

#WashingtonDC, #USA
Brian Cole Jr. will remain in federal custody after a judge denied his pretrial release request following his arrest for planting pipe bombs near the Capitol.Cole reportedly confessed to placing explosives outside RNC and DNC headquarters on the eve of January 6, 2021, because he believed the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump. While defense attorneys cited his autism and obsessive-compulsive disorder as grounds for home confinement, Matthew Sharbaugh ruled the public must be protected from his impulsive conduct.
