NASA Artemis II Mission Launches with Four Astronauts for the First Crewed Lunar Orbit in 50 Years

NASA successfully launched the Artemis II mission from Florida to begin the first crewed lunar orbit flight in over fifty years.The spacecraft carrying Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen has now completed its translunar injection maneuver.During this ten-day journey, the crew will travel farther from Earth than any previous humans while testing systems for the Canadian Space Agency.Although the mission does not involve a landing, the crew will fly within 7,400 kilometers of the lunar surface to collect scientific data.
