Constitutional Review Follows Touadéra Victory With 76 Percent

Faustin-Archange Touadéra has secured a third term with 76.15 percent of the vote after provisional election results were announced in the Central African Republic.His main opponent Anicet-Georges Dologuélé finished second with 14.66 percent amid reports of a 52.43 percent turnout for the quadruple election.The Constitutional Council will certify the final results in mid-January following the controversial 2023 removal of presidential term limits.
