The USA has intensified military and covert operations against
Venezuela aiming to oust President
Nicolás Maduro amid rising tensions.
Since early September, Operation Southern Lance authorized by Donald Trump has targeted over 21 vessels and conducted more than 20 strikes near Venezuelan waters, reportedly killing around 80 individuals classified as drug traffickers. The campaign, combined with CIA activities, seeks to destabilize Maduro's regime amid discussions of a new phase of operations and increased troop deployments including the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier.
