Yann LeCun's AMI raises $1.03bn seed while Qevlar raises $30M

Advanced Machine Intelligence, founded by Yann LeCun, raises $1.03bn in a seed round co-led by Cathay Innovation, Greycroft, Hiro Capital, HV Capital and Bezos Expeditions and will recruit across Paris, New York, Montreal and Singapore to build AI world models.The financing, backed also by Nvidia, Samsung, Toyota and individual investors including Jeff Bezos and Xavier Niel, values the company at roughly $3.5bn and positions Alexandre LeBrun as chief executive while Yann LeCun will chair the board as executive chair after twelve years leading AI research at Meta.Separately, Qevlar AI raises $30M in a round led by Partech and Forgepoint Capital International with participation from EQT Ventures & Growth to expand an autonomous AI security operations centre platform that automates investigations and reduces analyst triage time.
