Somali referee Omar Artan will officiate the UEFA Super Cup final in August following his controversial deportation from the USA.Although Artan was selected for the 2026 World Cup, US authorities denied his entry at Miami International Airport citing security concerns.UEFA officials subsequently appointed him to the match in Salzburg to honor his professional standing as the 2025 African Referee of the Year.
