Romanian director Cristian Mungiu won the Palme d’Or at the 79th Cannes Film Festival for his drama Fjord.The film explores tensions between immigrant parents and Norwegian child services while calling for empathy.During the ceremony, Barbra Streisand was also honored with an Honorary Palme d’Or for her movie work.
