University of Colorado quarterback Dominiq Ponder died at 23 in a high-speed crash involving a 2023 Tesla just before spring practice began.Police confirmed Dominiq Ponder lost control on a curve and struck an electrical pole before his car caught fire.Coach Deion Sanders and Director Fernando Lovo led tributes for the sophomore who had transferred from Bethune-Cookman University.The athlete was pronounced dead at the scene in Boulder County following the accident on Sunday morning.
