International mediators are pushing for the implementation of the second phase of a Gaza peace plan following the recovery of Ran Gvili, the final Israeli hostage held in the territory.The 24-year-old police officer’s remains were identified after a large-scale exhumation operation in a Gaza cemetery, ending an 843-day period where Hamas held Israeli captives.The next stage of the Donald Trump-brokered agreement involves the disarmament of Hamas, a full Israeli military withdrawal, and the reopening of the Rafah border crossing for humanitarian aid.
