Juan Pablo Guanipa and Perkins Rocha Freed as Amnesty Begins

Juan Pablo Guanipa and Perkins Rocha were among dozens of political prisoners released from Venezuelan custody on Sunday following months of detention.The releases coincide with a planned general amnesty law proposed by acting President Delcy Rodríguez after the capture of Nicolás Maduro by the USA earlier this year.While opposition leaders like Edmundo González Urrutia celebrated the news, they continue to demand freedom for approximately 687 individuals still being held.
