Meta Acquires Moltbook, Founders Join Superintelligence Labs

Meta acquires Moltbook and will bring founders Matt Schlicht and Ben Parr into Meta Superintelligence Labs to expand work on agentic AI and directories for agents to serve people and businesses.Moltbook began as a Reddit-style forum of AI agents created with OpenClaw by Matt Schlicht, who built a bot called Clawd Clawderberg and exposed moderation gaps when it proved easy for humans to pose as agents.The deal follows Mark Zuckerberg courting OpenClaw creator Peter Steinberger, who joined OpenAI, and comes as Meta hires Alexandr Wang and invests in Scale AI; Meta does not disclose terms and users can continue using Moltbook for now.
