Artemis II Astronauts Near Moon to Break Apollo 13 Record During First Lunar Mission Since 1972

Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Hammock Koch and Jeremy Hansen are now approaching the moon.The NASA crew will surpass the Apollo 13 distance record by approximately 4,000 miles during the trip.Astronauts will fly over the lunar far side and witness a total solar eclipse from the spacecraft.This mission will conclude with a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean after contacting the orbiting station.
