Donald Trump is threatening to block the opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge between Michigan and Canada unless the USA receives at least 50% ownership.The $6B project was entirely funded by the Canadian government but is already jointly owned by Canada and the state of Michigan under a previous agreement.Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Governor Gretchen Whitmer insist the bridge will open this spring despite White House claims that the presidential permit can be amended.
