Colorado Governor Jared Polis Commutes Sentence for Former Election Clerk Tina Peters to Parole

Colorado Governor Jared Polis has commuted the prison sentence of former election clerk Tina Peters.The former official was convicted of unauthorized voting machine access after the 2020 election.She is scheduled for release on parole on June 1 after serving four and a half years in prison.Secretary of State Jena Griswold criticized the decision as a setback for election security.
