Volodymyr Zelensky Warns of Kyiv Strike After Missile Escalation

Volodymyr Zelensky warned an overnight large-scale Russian attack could hit Kyiv, after Russia intensified its air campaign and struck western Ukraine with an Orechnik intermediate-range ballistic missile.Zelensky wrote on X, “The attack may happen tonight,” urging residents to stay on guard as Russia “tries to exploit the harsh winter climate.”The Orechnik strike hit the underground gas storage facility in Strii in the Lviv region near the Polish border, as Maria Zakharova warned any Western forces deployed to Ukraine would be treated as a military target following a USA seizure of a Russian-flagged tanker carrying Venezuelan oil.
