António José Seguro Leads Portuguese Election Following Storms

Portugal held its presidential election runoff on Sunday with António José Seguro favored to win despite severe storms delaying votes in several municipalities.The moderate socialist faced André Ventura of the far-right Chega party after both candidates advanced from a first round held on January 19.Prime Minister Luís Montenegro maintained neutrality during the contest which determines who will succeed Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and exercise the power to veto legislation.
