The Australian Federal Court has ordered X Corp. to pay a 650,000 Australian dollar fine for failing to report on its child safety efforts.The ruling ends a long legal dispute during which the company argued that its corporate transition exempted it from the local Online Safety Act.Justice Michael Wheelahan mandated that the company pay an additional 100,000 Australian dollars to cover the legal costs of the eSafety Commissioner.
