Jake Reiner makes his first public appearance on the Los Angeles red carpet at the premiere of HBO's "Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness," returning to acting with a role in the sketch series.His return follows the December deaths of his parents, director Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner, who were found stabbed in their Brentwood home while his brother Nick Reiner, 32, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, pleaded not guilty and remains in custody awaiting a September court date.Prosecutors allege Nick struggled with drug addiction, schizophrenia and homelessness before the killings, have added weapon allegations to the charges and say he faces either the death penalty or life without parole if convicted; Jake and his sister Romy, 28, have asked for privacy and Jake published an essay earlier this year describing his grief.
