Andrea Shaw, 23, is indicted on two counts of first-degree murder and is held on a $2M bond after prosecutors say she suffocated her 18-month-old twins in May last year.Shaw said in a 2025 internet interview that the twins died after hepatitis A, influenza and DTaP vaccinations, a claim medical experts reject as inconsistent with the vaccines given; Shaw denies the charges.Shaw is a plaintiff in a federal racketeering lawsuit against the American Academy of Pediatrics and the academy has asked a judge to dismiss the suit while the criminal case moves toward pretrial proceedings.
