Thousands of people protested across Denmark and Greenland on Saturday after Trump reiterated his intent to take control of the autonomous island.The demonstrations occurred as a bipartisan USA delegation visited Copenhagen and several NATO allies deployed military personnel to the Arctic to support Danish sovereignty.Although Trump threatened tariffs against opponents of the plan, recent polling shows that 85 percent of the local population opposes annexation by the USA.
