Pickup Carrying Wedding Guests Crushed Between Trucks on Java, 13 Dead

Thirteen people are killed and five are injured after a pickup carrying wedding guests is crushed between two trucks on a busy highway on Java, police say.The pickup slowed to make a U-turn near a median, was pushed into the opposite lane by a wing-box truck and then struck by a second heavy truck, ejecting more than a dozen passengers onto the road.Authorities are investigating whether speed, overloaded vehicles, poor road safety and weak enforcement contributed to the crash and rescue teams are treating five survivors in nearby hospitals.
