NASA Reports Artemis II Crew Nears Moon to Break Distance Record and Test Life Support Systems

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman reported that the Artemis II crew, including Canadian Jeremy Hansen, is preparing to break the Apollo 13 record for distance from Earth.The four astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft are conducting the first human tests of critical life support systems to provide vital data for a scheduled 2027 lunar landing.NASA is utilizing ten billion dollars from the Working Family Tax Cut Act to accelerate these missions and develop nuclear propulsion technologies for future Mars exploration.
