Farage Faces Scrutiny Over Undeclared Donor Support as Parliamentary Probe Expands

Nigel Farage faces intensified parliamentary scrutiny after reports say he failed to declare large gifts and donor support from George Cottrell and Christopher Harborne.Daniel Greenberg, the parliamentary standards commissioner, is reviewing whether Mr. Farage should have recorded Cottrell’s housing, staffing and security assistance and Harborne’s £5M gift while Reform UK and Robert Jenrick say the payments were personal and outside disclosure rules. If the commissioner finds breaches, Mr. Farage could be suspended and face a recall petition that would trigger a by‑election, a risk to his bid for prime minister while Reform UK leads national polls.
