NASA Delays Artemis II Moon Mission After Rocket Hardware Failure
NASA postponed the Artemis II lunar fly-around mission from its scheduled March launch following a critical hardware failure in the Space Launch System rocket.Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen were already in pre-flight quarantine when engineers discovered an interruption in the helium flow system. The 322-foot vehicle must now be rolled back to the Vehicle Assembly Building for inspection and repairs because the malfunction cannot be addressed on the launch pad. This technical setback forces the agency to abandon the March 6 target and evaluate potential new launch windows in early or late April.
