NASA Prepares Artemis II Launch with Diverse Crew for First Human Lunar Mission in Fifty Years

NASA prepares to launch the Artemis II mission from Kennedy Space Center with four astronauts for a ten-day lunar flyby.The flight represents the first human trip to the moon since 1972 and includes the first woman and person of color to enter deep space.Specialist Jeremy Hansen will also become the first Canadian and non-USA citizen to participate in such a mission aboard the Orion spacecraft.This launch tests vital life-support systems and radiation shielding to prepare for future permanent lunar bases and eventual Mars travel.
