Oscars to Move to L.A. Live and YouTube in 2029 Following New Deal Between the Academy and AEG

The Oscars will relocate to the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live starting in 2029 as part of a ten-year agreement with AEG.Bill Kramer and Lynette Howell Taylor confirmed the ceremony will also shift from ABC to a global streaming deal on YouTube.This transition follows the 100th anniversary at the Dolby Theatre in 2028 and utilizes a larger 7,100-seat venue.Extensive upgrades to the stage and lighting at L.A. Live are planned to accommodate the move from Hollywood to downtown.
