Danny Glover says he has been living with Alzheimer’s disease since 2022 and that the condition has slowed his speech, movement and memory. The 79-year-old actor disclosed the diagnosis in a pre-recorded interview on “Today” with Lester Holt and said he can live with it for now while it progresses.Glover, widely known for Roger Murtaugh in the Lethal Weapon films and roles in The Color Purple, Predator 2 and Places in the Heart, received an honorary Oscar and the Jean Hersholt Award. His daughter Mandisa and his youngest brother Martin say the family supports his choice to control the narrative as he remains active in his San Francisco community before his 80th birthday.
