UAE Accelerates West-East Oil Pipeline Construction to Bypass Strait of Hormuz by Year 2027

The United Arab Emirates is accelerating a new pipeline project to bypass the Strait of Hormuz and double export capacity via Fujairah by 2027.This initiative follows the country's withdrawal from OPEC as it seeks to maintain energy supply levels amidst a blockade caused by regional conflict.Crown Prince Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed the state oil company to expedite construction to secure routes against ongoing military disruptions. The project serves as a strategic response to the closure of the maritime route which has significantly reduced regional hydrocarbon output since the conflict began.
