Luigi Mangione, the twenty-seven-year-old accused of killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, will face his state murder trial starting September 8.Federal Judge Margaret Garnett rescheduled the federal stalking trial to begin jury selection on October 5 in New York.Mangione has pleaded not guilty to state charges of second-degree murder and federal charges of interstate stalking.The fatal shooting took place in December 2024 outside a hotel in Manhattan and was captured on surveillance cameras.
