Authorities in Vietnam have dismantled a criminal network involved in the illegal theft and trade of hundreds of cats destined for meat consumption.Nine suspects were arrested after a three-year investigation revealed the group was stealing household pets to supply restaurants and slaughterhouses.While animal welfare organizations have successfully reunited some rescued cats with their owners, approximately 100 animals died during the ordeal.
