Nelson Antônio de Souza presented a R$5 billion capitalization plan to the Central Bank of Brazil on February 6 after a $7 billion fraud involving Banco Master left BRB with massive deficits.Daniel Vorcaro remains in custody following his November 2025 arrest for orchestrating the scheme which has implicated President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and several Supreme Court justices.Thousands of former Will Bank customers reported that paid debts were wrongly migrated to BRB as active arrears while Governor Ibaneis Rocha faces calls for impeachment.
