Trump Cuts Italian Pasta Duties and Postpones Furniture Tariffs

#WashingtonDC, #USA
Donald Trump signed a proclamation on New Year's Eve to delay scheduled tariff hikes on imported furniture for one year while trade negotiations continue. The order maintains current duties at 25 percent and postpones increases of up to 50 percent on cabinets and vanities that were originally set to begin on January 1.This decision coincides with a separate move by the Department of Commerce to significantly reduce antidumping duties on Italian pasta brands following successful diplomatic talks with the EU.
