Jorrit Bergsma became the oldest long-track speedskating gold medalist in Olympic history after winning the men's mass start in Italy.The 40-year-old Dutch athlete finished ahead of Viktor Hald Thorup of Denmark and Andrea Giovannini of Italy at the 2026 Winter Olympics.This victory denied American star Jordan Stolz a third gold medal in Milan-Cortina after he previously won the 500 and 1000 meter events.The competition also featured a bronze medal for 36-year-old Mia Manganello from the USA in the final race of her professional career.
