Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt appointed energy executive Alan Armstrong to the US Senate to fill the vacancy left by Markwayne Mullin.Mullin recently resigned his seat to lead the Department of Homeland Security after the dismissal of Kristi Noem by President Donald Trump.Armstrong will serve as an interim representative through the end of the year and is legally barred from running for the seat in the upcoming election.
