Wreckage of K2 Airways Boeing 737 Found South of Ormara as Search for Five Missing Continues

Rescuers located substantial wreckage from the K2 Airways Boeing 737 about 53 nautical miles south of Ormara port, but all five crew members remain missing and search-and-rescue operations continue. The aircraft, a 27-year-old Boeing 737-400 converted to freighter use, reported a navigation-system malfunction, descended erratically from 36,550 feet to a final recorded altitude of 1,100 feet and then entered a steep dive before radar and radio contact was lost.Pakistan Navy and civilian units recovered floating debris earlier, the US National Transportation Safety Board and Boeing are assisting the investigation, and authorities warn that the main fuselage may lie near 3,000 meters depth, a condition likely to prolong recovery and the probe for months.
