ROTC Cadets Subdue ISIS-Linked Gunman After Fatal Shooting at Old Dominion University Classroom

Following a suspected terrorist attack by ISIS-linked former extremist Mohamed Bailor Jalloh at Old Dominion University, an instructor and two ROTC students were killed or wounded before fellow cadets subdued the gunman, who was later found dead after police returned fire.Jalloh, a naturalized USA citizen and former Army National Guard member imprisoned from 2017 to 2024 for material support to ISIL, shouted "allahu akbar" during the attack in Constant Hall, with the FBI investigating it as terrorism. The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force confirmed the victims were students in a military training program and are examining Jalloh's motives, travel, and communications, while also appealing for witnesses to clarify the timeline and whether he acted alone.University officials canceled classes and suspended operations, with authorities finding no link to recent attacks and urging against speculation as the investigation continues.
