President Prabowo Subianto visited the worst-affected regions in Indonesia after cyclones Ditwah and Senyar caused over 1,400 deaths and more than 1,000 people missing across Southeast Asia.President Anura Kumara Dissanayake declared a state of emergency in Sri Lanka and reported 465 confirmed deaths from Cyclone Ditwah, while Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya appealed for international assistance.At the COP30 climate summit in Brazil, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus of the World Health Organization highlighted that the severity of these cyclones is linked to climate change and ongoing recovery faces major challenges like food and water shortages and damaged infrastructure.
