A Czechoslovakian wolfdog named Nazgul interrupted the women's cross-country team sprint qualification at the 2026 Winter Olympics after escaping from its owners.The animal bypassed security barriers to run alongside Tena Hadzic and other athletes before eventually crossing the finish line in Lago di Tesero.Race officials briefly suspended the competition to remove the social dog as Konstantina Charalampidou and other competitors watched the unusual scene.Competition at the Tesero Cross-Country Skiing Stadium resumed shortly after the disruption with Maja Dahlqvist eventually securing the gold medal.
