The Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) identified significant deficiencies in all ten reviewed private neuropsychiatric clinics after finding they frequently prescribed ADHD medication without proper assessments.Social Affairs Minister Jakob Forssmed and Lena Hallengren called for stricter oversight as sixteen healthcare operations were prohibited and 104 social care permits were revoked since 2024.The authority is now demanding corrective measures from providers to address risks to child safety and is seeking better tools to track individuals involved in multiple cases of malpractice.
