Donald Trump launched the Gaza Board of Peace in Washington to oversee a $17B reconstruction project aimed at transforming the territory into a luxury coastal destination.The initiative secured a $10B commitment from the USA and over $7B from a coalition including Saudi Arabia and Qatar to fund the massive infrastructure project.Benjamin Netanyahu and Tony Blair attended the inaugural meeting which detailed plans for a 32,000-person security force and a new 5,000-troop USA military base.Nickolay Mladenov warned that complete demilitarization of the region is a necessary prerequisite before any significant reconstruction efforts can move forward.
