Prosecutors Seek Jair Bolsonaro's Expulsion From Brazilian Army

The Military Prosecutor has requested that the Superior Tribunal Militar expel Jair Bolsonaro and four high-ranking officials following their coup attempt convictions.This request follows a Supreme Federal Court ruling that sentenced Jair Bolsonaro and Walter Braga Netto to 27 years in prison for plotting to overturn the 2022 election results.The court will now conduct individual reviews to determine if the defendants, including Augusto Heleno and Almir Garnier, should forfeit their ranks despite their service history.
